Woodland Folk Meet the Gnomes
The strength of this book lies in its level of political correctness. It is far less politically incorrect than 'The Woodland Folk Meet the Fairies', which is a bit of an anti-feminist bloodbath of neo-Christian, neo-Victorian moral prescription for sensitive children.
As a sensitive child, I loved this book. The gnomes are wise, lovable, and thoroughly English, moral and not colonial psychopathic thieves. I would compare it to Trevelyan's 'English Social History' or E.P. Thompson's 'Making of the English Working Class' except my nan's just come in and wants to take me out in the pram.

Thinkpad Docking Station Saves the Earth
I love my IBM Lenovo T42 Thinkpad. It's clean and has never let me down, so I treated it to an obsolete docking station as a birthday treat. The result was astonishing. It can now interface with an obsolete printer, and other obsolete stuff, so it doesn't get as lonely any more. I've never seen t so happy! If you love old machinery and are a bit of a Morlock then these obsolete docking stations are just the ticket.

Obsolete Memory for my Obsolete Computer Enhanced Performance
I love my IBM Lenovo T42 Thinkpad. It's clean and has never let me down, so I treated it to a memory upgrade, doubling the available memory from one to two gigabytes of 333 SODIMM memory. The result was astonishing. It became almost possible to watch streamed non-HD television to the extent that I could watch the Welsh rugby match on Saturday on the BBC. If you love old machinery and are a bit of a Morlock then these memory modules are just the ticket.
