A good overview of a big period.
This is a good quality book. Unlike many other books on the period it overviews the roman army and time period. The pictures are also very high quality.
My only complaint with the book is that many of the pictures of late roman soldiers are mostly from the wrong period. There are also a few pictures with equipment from different periods to what there meant to be. Like mixing the late Roman cavalry helmet for a Celtic one.
Apart from the few picture errors this book is very impressive with its vast time period it covers.
