Good value weather station

Purchased the Maplin weather station on eBay recently. It had been reduced to just under £40 and, as such, represents great value for money. It's a bit plastics and the two piece support pole is a bit of a nuisance but it seems to work really well. Not sure how long the batteries will last but it has been going well for a few weeks now so fingers crossed! To be honest, I would love to know how it works! How can something so small accurately measure relative humidity, temperature and have a wifi sender for these data and wind speed data from the anemometer? Hours of fun!
