About

We are Bassetlaw Hospice, located in the town of Retford, Nottinghamshire, situated in a peaceful location at the rear of the Retford Hospital. Bassetlaw Hospice's building, Cedar House was opened in 1994, we provides specialized palliative care and support for patients, their families and carers in the community. Bassetlaw Hospice provides specialist care for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer or a progressive long term condition. It exists to support the patient and their families to achieve the best quality of life. The Charity is responsible for all the general day to day running costs of the Hospice. This includes the maintenance and upkeep of the building and gardens, replacement, repair of fixtures, fittings and equipment. We fund a range of complementary services and facilities including alternative therapies, hairdressing and patient transport. We work closely with Bassetlaw Health Partnership (NHS) who fund the nursing and medical service provision. Working together with BHP and Bassetlaw Commissioning Organisation we jointly fund the post of Mental Health Occupational Therapist here at the Hospice. Thank you so much for your support
