Buy cheap, buy twice!
Other external enclosures I've had in the distant past have been much better. One of my main gripes is that the hard drive connects to the circuit board within the case with cables (provided). But one is short and has right angle connections so as you try to fit the hard drive in the case it becomes pinched.
Another point to make is that this enclosure is almost air tight, no doubt making it toasty warm in there. That is not good for electronics or hard drives for that matter. Good bye data.
I gave up in the end and cannibalised both old and new enclosures to make a barely satisfactory one.
Do yourself a favour by spending a little more on one that has a cooling fan.

High quality disk brakes
1 of 1 found this helpful For the price, I was surprised as to how good the quality of the discs appeared when I opened the packaging. With the cost of delivery it does make you wonder how they make money on these. I put on brand new Seat factory pads when the discs were fitted and they have bedded in soundly. The discs are super flat and smooth now.
If you're looking for replacement discs you can't go wrong with these.

King of the glue's
On previous woodworking endeavors - albeit simple - I used normal PVA glue, the white stuff from the big DIY chains. That glue doesn't come close to bonding strength of Titebond. I've used both Titebond II and III and I'm hard pushed to tell the difference when it comes to dried strength of the work piece. One thing I will mention is the dried colour of any 'squeeze out'. Titebond II finishes in yellow hue (looks like tree sap almost), and Titebond III dries a little brown. Overall it is a superb glue. I will NEVER use any other brand of wood glue PERIOD.
