    Switches itself on and off at random times during the night.
    Bought the Tempus mainly for the sleep function and was initially very pleased with it. After a few months I realised that although the radio switched off at the designated time, sometimes I was woken by the radio being on very quietly. It would then switch off, fading away very slowly, taking maybe 30 seconds to get to the point where I could no longer hear it. Occasionally I would detect it coming on several times during the night, then other nights not at all. The Pure Help Desk was useless (twice), unable to offer any advice and unable to pass the enquiry up to the engineering dept. At one stage they asked me if I had a strong DAB signal (?) After a couple of months more I got so fed up with it I took it back to John Lewis and got a replacement thinking that there must be a fault with it. Guess what, it did exactly the same thing. After a few more months I was back to the Pure (no) Help Desk. Waste of time. A few months later I'd had enough and contacted the Help Desk for the 4th time. This time they actually said they'd never heard of this problem before (?) Completely useless. For the two radios to have the same fault it is unlikely to be a manufacturing fault, so it must be a design problem. Pure are not interested in knowing about design faults. In the end it was so annoying I took it back to John Lewis and swapped it for the Roberts equivalent. Brilliant, no problems at all. Shame really 'cos I've got 2 other Pure radios and I really wanted the designers to nail this problem. If it happened to me with two radios then it's a certainty that it has happened to other people.
