Works well, display a bit hard to see
As in the title -- the tuner works well, but the display is dim and hard to see in room light.

Introduction into old time and bluegrass styles
Good introductory materials into bluegrass and old-time styles. Most of the fiddle tunes are in the usual keys that they would be played in at a bluegrass jam, except Angeline the Baker (in F, really? How' bout the more typical key of D, particularly since it lays out really well on the fingerboard in D). Expect to spend some time getting the clawhammer rhythm going, but it does fit in nicely in a jam.
You can download the mp3s but the online player also works quite well.

Impressive tablet, but seek out ones that have had the Oreo update
Bought as a replacement for an ailing Nexus 7 - slim, fast and expandable storage -- what's not to like? Similar screen resolution (1920 x 1200) to the Nexus 7 - better than current "small" tablets from Samsung and slightly more system RAM than the Nexus (2 GB vs. 1.5 GB). 8 cores do provide for speedy responses and the fingerprint sensor works well. Build quality is good and the tablet uses USB-C so no more micro USB! It does not support wireless charging, unfortunately.
I recommend findling one that has had the upgrade to Android Oreo completed since that includes the security updates into 2019, unlike Nougat-based machines that have had no security updates since 2017. Unfortunately, Lenovo's support of the upgrade from Android 7.1 to 8.1 is sketchy at best, so if you are interested in one of these, try to find one that has had the upgrade already since apparently not all versions of this model can be upgraded. Lenovo says it is a Google problem, Google says it's Lenovo's, you know the drill.
