Don't judge against the novel.

Against the novel it's a disaster, and the things they change, and tone down, disappoint. Still, as a story, it works very well. It lulls in the middle just as the novel does, but it's a good bit of drama and well worth a watch.

Excellent thriller

This is a well written and plotted murder novel, with neat twists along the way. It kind of belongs to another age, but works in every way. Levin's first novel, and he would continue to prove himself in later books to be a writer of high calabre.
