Solid NAS; Simple to use.
Set up is painless. I was transitioning from OpenMediaVault on a re-purposed PC. Making the transition between the software caused me to scratch my head a couple of times, but in most cases it was because the Synology solution was simpler; I kept hunting for the complexity and couldn't find it!
From a hardware perspective, it couldn't be simpler. Disks are hot-pluggable; tool-less installation, and with the Synology Hybrid RAID option, you can mix-and-match disks. Dead simple. The documentation states that SHR has a small performance penalty, but for my uses performance (within reason) is not a driver, simplicity is.
I would recommend this device for anyone looking for network attached storage.

Great action story!
I stumbled across Harlan Coben a couple of months ago... I travel extensively so I go through a lot of books and I picked up one of his without any real idea of what to expect. I was blown away! Since I do read a lot of books, I am a little skeptical about claims that you won't be able to put down the book... I really have had a hard time putting down his books!
After that first book, I have now read about a half dozen of his books and I have not been disappointed with any of them.
This book, like all of his books, starts off quickly, grabs you within the first few pages and doesn't stop until the final page. In addition to the action, Harlan manages to throw in numerous twists and surprises that keep you from getting bored.
"No Second Chance" starts with the main character getting shot, his wife dying and his daughter kidnapped. Before the book comes to an end, you wind through a dozen twists, surprises and a pretty amazing body count. The action moves fast, but naturally with a tight story line that seems to somehow make the body count reasonable!
If you like action, you will like this book.
