Exceptional multi-service lens
Pricey lens with only one "drawback" (described many times elsewhere). Lens has some difficulty in autofocus locating the prime object desired. However, NOT a problem if:
- work primarily out of manual focus mode &/OR
- preset and lock selected AF point.
Picture quality exceptional! Weight to balance excellent as mounted on Canon 5D. If anywhere near your budget - BUY IT!

Really warrants a 4.5 star rating - but not an option. Took off 1/2 star because I'm not fluent in French.

Good instrument at a great price!
Had one for quite some time now and decided wanted another - actually bought 2 more. For my needs very satisfactory. If you need a tool that's accurate to .001%, this ain't it. However, if wanting an accurate gauge for a basement, safe, wine cellar, etc. this should prove to me more than adequate. Shop around though, the price variations on this are incredible (from $6+/ to $30+/each).
