Compelling reading for students of bombing warfare.
I was born 2 days after the raid, my father was stationed at Scampton, and debriefed some of the crews on their return.
I was brought up on the stories of the debriefed crews. My memory recalls them, and Chastise brings them back again into sharp focus.
Tremendous background research, before and after. What a waste of opportunity not to harry the builders whilst the dams were reconstructed.
