Works great for checking and setting the shoe to drum clearance. Measure the diameter of the drum with one end's calipers, then transfer the drum's diameter using the other side of the tool's calipers. Adjust the star wheel on the adjuster screw assembly until the shoes touch the calipers. This has worked perfect every time vs adjust star wheel, put drum back on and spin wheel and feel for how freely or tightly the wheel spins, remove drum, and repeat process until clearance is correct.

Great multi-meter from a well-known tool truck brand. This does dwell for your older carb equipped distributor cars, RPM (can also use for small engines), and then your typical voltage, resistance, continuity, temperature, etc. It can measure current up to 20A; many meters only go up to 10A. Comes in a nice, blow molded case to protect your equipment and keep it clean, dust free.

Unfortunately dropped my GW T-20 1/4 drive Torx socket into the bottomless cavern of my engine bay while replacing a defective TPS on my Olds Alero with 225K miles. I searched for it for about 10 minutes and it didn t hit the ground (as I or any other mechanic would hope). So, had to get a replacement socket to keep my GW set complete. Thanks.
