Works best WITH the cover!
8 of 8 found this helpful This is a good quality product and has already made a difference to the chore of doing washing. If you just need to dry two or three items in between washes, it will dry even thick towels in about an hour in a room with no heating on. If you have a full load, I would say it's best to remove some items from the top of the airer once they're dry and then move the lower ones up as the bottom tier has no heat underneath it which makes a big difference (Lakeland, if you're reading this - some heated bars at the very bottom would make this a 5* product!) For this reason, I'm glad I bought the 3-tier as the 2-tier wouldn't have had enough drying space.
I would also say it's well worth buying the cover to keep the heat in, otherwise I imagine much of it would be lost and drying time would be increased. The airer is particularly useful for drying clothes when it's not cold enough to have the heating on but too damp to put it outside. It folds away easily and, although it does take up a bit more space than your average airer when stored, it goes fairly flat and then goes inside its own cover, which is also good quality. (Tip: When putting it away, zip up the long zip only half-way, then place over the airer before zipping the rest of the way - so much easier than trying to slide it in when the cover is fully zipped up as I did initially!)
One final point - the combination of heat and wet fabric does create some moisture, understandably, so I like to put it in a room I'm not using and leave a window slightly ajar. Then again, it's still preferable to the alternative, which would be having wet washing around for much longer. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product.

Great slimline kitchen bin.
Silent close lid, slimline design for a narrow space, and a lock to keep curious dogs out! The colour is a nice matt grey and it looks and feels good quality. Recommended.
