Good Thermal Paste

I replaced the thermal compound on several five year old laptops and the peak CPU core temperature dropped by between 7 and 10 degrees, so there was a significant improvement in Thermal performance. I've done four and I still have plenty of compound left. So great value.

Better than original

The cable is a little fiddly to fit, but actually fairly easy. I would suggest you look closely at how the original is routed, maybe take photographs. I found some of the online guides helpful and they made more sense once I had my cleaner apart. The wire in the new harness is if a different type to the original one. I think the new one has silicone insulation and the old one was PVC, so the wires are much more flexible. I would certainly recommend not attempting to repair the original one.

Good Router

Works well as a replacement for a stock TalkTalk router. I don't use the advanced features, but it has been reliable and stable for several months and I'm very happy with it. It also shows detailed statistics, which are often hidden or difficult to find on ISP's routers. There is also great control over DHCP, DNS, etc. The router and PSU also run fairly cool. It doesn't have 5GHz wireless, but I can live without that.
