Reassessing Everything We Have Known
In 1949, de Beauvoir laid out the case for the liberation of women to pursue their free choices. Much of what she says is, at this point, generally accepted by those considering this volume; what is not (yet) is startling and mind expanding.
New translation, made with care and knowledge, makes this edition required.
