Delightful extension to the Red River Series
The Home to Blessing Trilogy allows the reader to share the angst, trials, confusion, triumphs and joys of Ingeborg Bjorklund's daughter Astrid as she seeks God's will for her life. There is the choice to go to Chicago for more medical training or to stay in her beloved Blessing and continue to be trained by her sister-in-law, Dr. Elizabeth Bjorklund. Blessing also includes a young man who has recently returned to town and is showing more than a little interest. But, then Astrid begins to wonder if God is calling her to Africa. Dr. Red Hawk, a surgeon she meets from a nearby reservation, questions her thinking and suggests that perhaps the Indians are her Africans. Dr. Elizabeth doesn't want to push (nor does Ingeborg) but a new hospital has long been a dream of all the Bjorklund women. All this and more will keep you reading and in the end will find Astrid where she has always been; in
the palm of His hand.

Not a great book
Although the pictures are fun, the story is a snooze, even for a child.
