Good, consistent flutes you can rely on

I would recommend a Gemeinhardt in a red hot minute for a student. I especially like the M2s from the 70s; they are reliable, good flutes that can take a licking but are easy to repair. Better than all the other brands when it comes to a sturdy, good-sounding, in-tune well-made student flute.
