It's just plastic
The picture looks like it's made out of metal but it's a flexible plastic that conforms to your bass drum no matter the size. The screws included with it are very sturdy and the masking plate just adds a nice "virgin" bass drum look to any kit.

Great design and discreet
2 of 2 found this helpful Easy to clamp onto various diameter bars with ease, a rubber thread protector is a nice addition to the clamp to avoid any scratching of hardware. The soft material's flexibility absorbs any impact, preventing unwanted rattling, the flixibility also makes up for the fixed position of the holder which isn't much of an issue. Above all, a great addition to any drummer's kit
