Nice to use and hold. Great business tool. App World lets it down a bit.
I have an iPad 1 that I use in the only way that you should use an iPad - as a toy. It's great. I wanted a 7" tablet to slip into my pocket and use for work: emails, reference e-books, contacts, calendar and cetera. A 64gb Playbook is dirt cheap and it's great too. The battery life is less than the iPad but its still good enough to last for a working day. The software is well thought out and easy to use, the thing feels lovely, solid and well made. The touchscreen is sensitive and, all in all, it's as nice to use as the iPad. Apps are a problem, not the unavailability - there are easy workarounds for that as a quick squint at google will tell you - but the price of apps on Appworld is irritation. Angry birds, free on Android, costs a fiver on App World. A fiver! Not that I wanted to buy it but just knowing that it's there is an annoyance. I recommend the Playbook, I really like it. Its size and build quality and ease of use make it a more practical work tool than any other tablet I've used. It's good for recreational use too. All in all, just great in my experience.

Great item - not perfect though.
This allows owners of certain Thinkpad models to dock their laptop and, in essence, use it as a desktop. It adds various ports, including more usb points, to the laptop and allows a monitor and other peripherals to be permanently attached. It does my job fantastically well. One drawback that I have found is that the microphone and sound ports don't seem to work on my model. It seems to be a compatibility problem, not a fault with my particular item. Not a big thing but mildly irritating.

So long as you want what this thing can do, it'll do it for you.
I bought this to use as an access point and switch, rather than as a router. It was cheap, instructions to set it up as an access point are included in the manual, easy to find on the internet and fairly easy to follow. It has been doing it's job on top of a unit in my kitchen since I bought it and it's worked fairly well. Sometimes I need to reset the thing to make the wireless work but not often. The ethernet connections haven't been affected. My impression is that it runs quite warm; no problems yet but I wonder whether there will be in the future. On the plus side - it was cheap, it was fairly easy to set up, it does the job.
