A very good explanation.
This is a very good exposition of relativety for the general public who may not have a good grounding in mathematics. It is a very good translation, and although the language is slightly dated the language is always easy to understand.
The content is another matter. Relativety is not easy and Einstein's great strength as a scientist was never to let an assumption go unjustified and this can make the text rather tortuous at times. However, this is entirely justified as the subject requires clear thought at all times.
This is an excellent book and perseverance is well rewarded, the diligent reader will gain the understanding she (or he) seeks.

A good book
This is a well produced book, well bound and attractive. The contents are not easy to understand but well worth the effort. The second half of the book, which contains more philosophical opinion and less solid scientific fact, is less convincing and sometimes seems rather 'rambling', and rather harder to follow but, again, worth persevering.

A very useful book to have on any boat. There is a lot of information available here which is drawn from many sources.
