Arrived safely - good packaging. This tuner is in very good cosmetic condition. When I powered it on I immediately saw an issue with the tuning, whereby it doesn't display station names, despite receiving a strong signal from antenna (another RDS tuner works perfectly). I flagged this up with seller, who immediately offered me a refund, so all credit to them. I have decided to keep the tuner in the hope I can fix the fault. As always, one should beware of the description "fully tested"!

Pair of speakers advertised for £250, my offer of £200 + £20 p&p was accepted, a fair price. Delivery was promised Tuesday/Wednesday, they arrived Thursday, Fault of Parcels 2 go, not the seller. One of the speakers was only half working, seller suggested how I might repair it. I re-soldered a bad joint. now working.

TDL Nucleus KV1 Main / Stereo Speakers - perfect condition - with quality cables

One of the best hifi bargains around
I buy and sell a lot of speakers, but have just got hold of a pair of these for the first time. All I knew about them was that Richer Sounds had bought out a lot of them and had flogged them very cheap for a while, that and the silver effect plastic around the drivers looked a bit naff. What a surprise to discover that they are some of the best sounding budget speakers I have ever heard. They have great timing, a nice transparent midrange, and well integrated treble, and nice tight bass. The only real weakness is that the little 5 inch bass drivers do run out of puff when asked to play deep bass loud, so they aren't great party speakers, but for normal listening levels they are very difficult to beat at the price. These were probably sold with a lot lower end Cambridge Audio amps which really don't play to their strengths, being a bit slow and warm sounding. On the end of a Rotel and a Denon, they were superb.

Very good with a bit of tinkering
This range from Mission often suffers from failure of the glue holding the plastic front baffle in place. This can lead to rattling on loud bass notes. They can be re-glued with a bit of patience. This was a youth orientated range; good party speakers but as standard they can sound a bit vague and boomy for delicate music. Upgrading the cheap electrolytic capacitors in the crossover to film types improves them a great deal in terms of detail, clarity and balance. Very rewarding for people who are happy to tinker as there is a decent pair of speakers in there and pairs with problems can be picked up cheap.
