Not such a close shave

After many years using a twin blade cartridge razor, and reading reports, I decided to try a safety razor. I looked long and hard, as many came from India. This is German, with a long handle, and I expected great things from it. Not so. After 2 weeks of trying to get a close shave, I gave up and went back to my twin blade. The safety razor is bulky, does not give a close shave even after a second application of soap, and does not get into skin contours. I'm really disappointed with the results. using my old twin blade, I never have to lather up a second time, and it gives a close and smoother shave. Sorry to say I wasted money on a razor that just doesn't cut it.
