Too long
As Bruckner is supposed to have said of Wagner operas, 'some wonderful moments and some boring half hours'. This book is a bit like that .There are some fascinating bits about the weird and wonderful world of Tibetan Buddhism, but at 500+ pages this book would have to be written in a more engaging style to maintain interest. The author travelled with a number of people and to hear more about them would have been good, but they are almost invisible.
If you get the chance watch his illustrated talk on the web, it's far better, and the photos are in colour.

No light to say it's fully charged
Could do with a light that told you when the batteries were charged rather than leaving it up to guesswork
