a back-up replacement
I purchased this remote as a back-up to my existing one which is starting to wear out. The remote is needed to do certain surround-sound digital/coaxal adjustments on my receiver. I have an excellent 100watt-X-6 channel receiver which I bought16yrs ago from someone down on his luck ($50.00). It blows away anything they sell today, it's rock-solid. The remote unlocks it's true potential, albeit time consuming to configure.
