Fun project with good results
This is a fun project that will yield fine results with a bit of patience and care.
I did not use a construction grade 2x4, however. Instead I laminated pieces of walnut and ash to make a tad higher end 2x4. "Fret" lines were made by inlaying spruce and/or various bits of guitar edge banding. Finished with instrument grade lacquer.
Tuned to an open G for now.
