Great for the money, would like more mileage.
Mounted on a Honda ST1100. I'm running the 009 on the rear, the 011 on the front. I'm a somewhat aggressive rider. These replace the Avon Storms, which I loved but price sells.....
I have approx. 1800 miles on the set, they both mounted and balanced well. Recently made a trip to the mountains, 40% of the mileage was highway. Cold pavement and the return trip was mostly in a torrential downpour.
They corner extremely well with absolutely no argument. Turn-in is fantastic, no surprises. Toes drag with ease and confidence including in light rain. Wet weather performance is also commendable. These tires pump some serious water. Return trip was in mostly rain. I ran the section of I-40 just west of Asheville at a very confident 70 MPH in moderate rain. Straight line travel was mostly at 80 plus with no hydroplaning or weaving. Why only 4 stars? Tread wear. I selected the 011 for it's siping and large-block stability ( I have a tendency to feather tires). The front is feathering, but the rear is feathering more than expected. The front seems fine wear-wise but the rear rounded off rather quickly and the tread life suffers. I'm seeing 50% wear in the center of the tire and this is April's cooler pavement. Like I stated before, 1800 miles on the tire already, and will probably need replacement at 3500 miles if not before then.
I'll absolutely buy another to see what they do in a warmer environment, and to wear out the front.
My advantage is that I own my own tire machine and balancer, so really I'm addicted to the $125 price tag. But would I ride these on a cross country trip? No. For the price, these are fantastic. But be prepared to change them more often.

Really nice! With exceptions..
Mounted up on a Moto Guzzi Eldorado. The 270's look good and mount up well. These are tube-type only, so keep this in mind. They have very deep sipes and are a bit vague compared to larger tread blocks. They took less than 1//2 oz to balance them. So far, so good. I'd suggest them for vintage bikes. Update- I still like them, they like higher pressure, and they really do follow any imperfection in the road. If you change the weight balance (luggage) it changes pretty much everything on these. The Eldo developed a pretty pronounced weave that took a bit to narrow down to simply raising the pressure. Not 100% sure I'd buy again, but for a simple in-town bike they are great.. I kept my 4-star rating the same, because they really are nice, just not as much for my use..

Seem like pretty good quality, they slip...
Seem like pretty good quality, they slip onto the bars from the end, so grip removal is necessary. Thanks!!
