Unfortunately, I should have noticed the the supplier's statement that it might be supplied with a European plug on the charger - it was, in all fairness, clear. However, it does beg the question why the supplier should think it makes any sense to do this on an item for sale in the UK. As a result, I have had further trouble and expense to obtain a suitable charger.
