Excellent Compendium of Buck Rogers and his stylistic evolution in the 20th Century - Pre-TV Show, of course!
If you only know of Buck Rogers from the corny (but entertaining) television show of the 1970s, this book will be a good starting point as an overview of the famous character's history.
It's a wonderful old collection of comic strips, highly recommended for both seasoned fans of Buck Rogers and newcomers. It not only contains reprints of various strips throughout the history of the comic strip's publication, to give a good sampling of the changes in style and content over time, it also opens with some insight into the creators and their process.
Don't be put off by the age of the publication -- this should be in every collectors library along with newer publications like the Hermes Press collections of Nowlan's and Calkin's work. I recommend the later revised printing (1977) for additional material, but be sure to buy the more durable hardcover if it is available -- my old paperback copy suffers from binding issues. My recent hardcover acquisition is a treasure!

For old school anime fans, and the curious who enjoyed the live-action Alita.
This two-chapter ova will certainly appeal to classic anime fans, and also those who have seen and enjoyed the 2019 live action version of the story. I would note, however, that the anime contains extreme violence (like the theatrical version) and also some (brief) sexual content, which makes it unsuitable viewing for children. Since this DVD is out of print, it fetches a good deal of money on the open market, so unless it is reissued, expect to pay top dollar. Those interested in following the story in detail may find the manga book series their cup of tea.
