Good rain protection
Great at rainproof protection but wind blows it off constantly

Really Nice Thermostat
Excellent features in this AC Heat Pump and Non Heat Pump Thermostat.

Some pump protection
Helps a little in protecting the pump from direct sunlight and direct rain water exposure but is far from ideal. Rain water still covers the pump motor by bouncing up off any surface the pump is mounted on. It's more of a general plastic shroud with some protection than a complete, protective cover.
