i5-3470 is great

Actually runs up there with the i5 3570 if you aren't going to overclock. It has weaker video (2500) than the i5 3570 (4000) which doesn't matter if you are using an external video card. So, if you are using external video and don't want to overclock this chip is a real gem. Buying used you can be pretty sure the previous owner didn't overclock it either.

Awesome GTX 750 ti

The GTX 750 ti is still one of the best deals around. It gives you great performance for a very reasonable price and very low power consumption, it doesn't even have an external power connector, at least this model doesn't and most models don't. This card will give you great game performance for DX10 and DX11 games, unfortunately it doesn't do DX12. Its low power and low price also make it a great card for higher performance office computing, especially videos, large spread sheets and other things that built in video just isn't suitably fast enough for. This is a very small card with large performance. Because this version is a single slot card it even works in older BTX cases which is why I bought it, getting a little more useful life out of an old OptiPlex 755.
