BOSCH GMS 120 PP3(9v) battery Wood & metal sensor

OK product once you understand limitations.

While this is a good product be warned, it does have limitations. For example, it will detect a metal bracket on the reverse side of a wall. However, it became very confused trying to detect wooden battens fixed to brickwork through plasterboard - although it worked elsewhere on a partition with plasterboard either side of the studwork. So, it's not perfect and you need to be sure of the capability of the device before you trust it. For me, it was good value as I had a 10ukp discount voucher and shopped around saving 30ukp compared to a leading DIY store. Had I paid full-price I doubt if I would have thought it as being of good value.

Solved loft aerial signal strength issue

Although the existing aerial outside provides a good signal. The loft aerial signal strength was borderline, so it needed boosting. Combined with a PROception PSU (from Toolstation) this has boosted the signal, so now there’s very few picture hiccups.
