ElectroVoice 664 Vintage microphone

EV-664 is an outstanding microphone mic!

There are no negative comments about this microphone, only positive. The mic is not only clearer than an ev RE-320 let alone a shure sm-7B or sm-87A Beta or sm-58 or sm-57. It is right up to standard with an Aston multi condenser mic. It is Cardioid and Unidirectional which make it perfect for vocal leads and back up too. Whoever constructed this microphone was a genius. Used in 1964 and still relevant today. This will even give you a better quality vocal than the shure sh-55 Elvis mic. I am so pleased with the mic as a recording mic that I have purchased a few and they are not for resale. One last quick note about the ev 664 is that it is solid as a rock.

Big Bang for the Buck

The Headphone Amp produces the tube chime of the real AC30 Amplifier. I know this for a fact because I tried out a real AC30 tube amp and the headphone amp was right on. Based on the test, I purchased an AC30 tube amp since it has been the sound I have been lookinng for over 40 years. I believe thetre are two models. The earlier model did not have reverb which is a drawback but the delay was outstanding. The more current model has reverb but I do not like the delay as much. The only drawback is the unit is all plastic like everything else today. It's too bad it cannot be placed in a metal enclosure. I hope this helps.

How to use the Gillette Sensor 2

I use electric razors to trim my face when a beard starts to form. It turns the whiskers into dust. I then use the Gillette Sensor 2 Razor to get a really close and smooth shave. Otherwise, I just use the Gillette razor.
