Live at the Wolf Trap
Anybody who survived the seventies when music was king and image was for top of the pops, will remember the Doobies coming to UK shores on such wonderful tours as put together by Warner Bros, playing on the same bill as the great Little Feet etc.
Those concerts were breathtaking then and so is this recording, it is almost a snap shot of the good old days. It may not be upto the digitally seperated quality of some so-called modern live recordings but can you feel the music on modern recordings I think not.
All tracks are classics from the past finishing with 3 of my all time classics, Long Train Running, China Grove, Listen to the Music building up to a superb finish.
This bands live shows deserve to be preserved for all time and this live recording does this. If you can listen to this without tapping your foot or feeling better then I suggest you go back to the contrived drivel that is made by plastic pretty people who are not musicians.
Long live the Doobies and what they stand for, LIVE MUSIC with soul and attitude.

Object lesson in speaking the "Bloody Obvious".
I was foolishly expecting something that was more original than stating the bloody obvious.
I do except full responsibility for expecting something more original, when it was recommended from the land of Hollywood.
