So much neater than seperate footpack
Worth the extra if you can afford it. Very very well made and easy to fit.

Not compatible
Was not compatible with my car despite it stating that it was the correct part. The fitting isn't quite right. I ended up just cutting the pipe on my car and fudging it together by filing down the flange on the pumps fitting, which was just incorrect. Take care when buying. My car is a 2006 06 Saab 9-3.
FREESTEPS6® Crampon 21 Stainless Steel Spikes Running/Winter Hiking RRP £39.99

Used on snowy mountain climb/hike. Worth every penny, great quality,
Really really good, I used them on a 3000m mountain in europe and they offered a lot of grip on the snow and icy rocks. They were well fitted on my shoe and did not move around. Only down side was that they picked up clumps of snow being a small spikes and plates, but the snow didnt sitck for long and came away each step it picked it up. My friends had brought proper crampons, which were really cumbersome and came with their own sets of problems, but having big long spikes didnt have the pick up snow problem like me. unless i was doing actual ice climbing id use these every time over crampons. Also its worth mentioning that these can be easily clipped into your backpack waist harness or similar for carrying and easy access, and can be quickly fitted and removed without removing your gloves and in about 10 seconds per shoe and without sitting down. my friends had to sit down, remove gloves, mess around for about 5 minutes per shoe and still they were not that well fitted. the proper crampons are also less easy to carry as the spikes flail around. These were a must have, Id also think about using them in wet conditions when trails and rocks get slippery.
