Good Solution, But. . .
I think this is a great solution for Taylor guitars; however, I have one concern that won't get resolved until it's been in use for some time. I was concerned before purchasing this item that it might not fit inside the Taylor case that came with my 914ce. I sent an inquiry to Taylor to see if it would fit, and they confirmed that it would. However, it's a very tight squeeze to get it into the case (since it sticks out from the guitar a bit (that means that pressure is being applied to the adapter and it pushes it against the wood on the end of the guitar). Now, granted it has a physical "cushion" buffer between the adapter and the guitar; however, I wonder whether that will last "long-term". In addition, it's going to wear on the velvet lining of the case. I'm trying to push it in as I place the guitar inside the case, but it still rubs the end of the case every time you insert/remove the guitar (despite the little gap in the velvet cushion where the 1/4" connector would plug into the guitar. So, I can't give this 5 stars, but it is well made. I turned the cowboy over, so that one just sees the solid black adapter instead. I don't like being an advertisement for Nomad--sorry!
