Just what I needed
I have an older HP server that I wanted to add an SSD to for virtualization. It had the SATA ports, but only power plug was for floppy drive. The length (9-inches) also helped reach to an open area to mount the SSD. So I bought 2 in case I needed to do this again.

It works!
My Swann DVR just quit working. The power light on the unit, when plugged in, was blinking green, but nothing appeared to be on. I did a quick eBay search for my model number DVR9-4200 power adapter, and found this one for reasonable price. I was skeptical, but thought it worth a try, The unit I received looks exactly like the original one. I plugged it in and voila!

Great backup storage server
1 of 1 found this helpful I was looking for a LFF (3.5" drives) with lots of storage capacity to be a backup repository and server for my data center. You can still get larger-capacity HDs in 3.5" and for a lot less than 2.5" HDs.
I bought this to replace a DL185-g5 that kept having power problems - clicking off without warning and unable to turn on again. (This happened on the replacement system as well after 6 months!) The DL180-G6 is better system and has room for 14 3.5" drives. I was able to transfer the RAID array and 12 drives from the failed Dl185, and system booted just fine and works great!
The system is a little loud, probably b/c of redundant fans. I may try to replace them to see if that helps. I'd like to update the firmware also, but HP now requires a support contract to access firmware updates.
The BBWC battery on the RAID controller was bad, so I ordered the FBWC replacement module for about $15 on eBay.
The DL180-G6 appears to be a solid machine with LOTS of storage capacity on a budget.
