Good, practical solution to plant labelling.
Very good product. Easy to write on using a Sharpie/permanent marker. Out of the pack, the labels have a gloss finish but, if you prefer, you can rub them down with a bit of sandpaper and you can write in pencil if you prefer.
I'm trying a wider range of plants this year than before, so these are perfect to remind me of what they are.

Great Instrument to Rekindle My Earlier Attempts at Drum Playing
I had tinkered with playing drums about 10 years ago, having been inspired by some fantastic drummers I had worked with professionally as a keyboard player. But life got in the way and I never took it beyond a basic level. But lockdown got me thinking: maybe I could have another go and get a regular (and much needed) workout at the same time! :-)
But I needed a kit where noise would be controllable, in my music room where space is at a premium and which I could actually record both audio and MIDI with (when I get good enough). The noise and space issues meant that, sadly, an acoustic kit was a non-starter, so it had to be an electronic kit. Having looked at several manufacturers I plumped for this Roland TD-1K kit. It's pretty basic in many respects but is perfect for my current needs. I may upgrade the snare to a mesh version later (to replace the rubber-surfaced one), which I am told gives a much better feel.
But I'm having a whale of a time playing the TD-1K. I'm making extensive use of the built-in metronome to work towards precision time-keeping, having fun practising various drum exercises and rudiments and occasionally playing along with various recordings, for a song-length experience, and trying out various pattern changes within song structures and the occasional fill. This kit is really good for all that and more.
I'm so glad I plumped for this kit. If I had a bit more space in the room I may have got the next level up but I have no regrets. I can't recommend this kit strongly enough!
