Better than orginal equipment
2 of 2 found this helpful Yes, it is expensive but it does exactly as stated, for once. It has kept me from either buying a new Raymarine chart plotter too match the other one, I have two C-140w's, or changing out both to different chart plotters. The other thing is it is as easy as stated to change out. It took me 15 minutes being very careful not to crack the cover plate. One hint: use a hairdryer to warm up the cover before attempting to take it apart, it makes the plate much more plyable.
I normally do not take the time to recommend or not recommend a product but like I said earlier, except for the price it is everything as stated. I guess the development and cost of the machine used to produce this part or want you would call R&D is the reason but it is a far better product than was orginally supplied on the C-140w.
