Much better than the remote supplied with the box
I did not read the "pairing" instructions sent with the product and just tried to use it straight out of the box. It did not work. I then read the instructions, followed them and it worked immediately. It is a Mark 2 version of the product and the buttons "click" when you press them. Vast improvement on the Mk 1 version I got when I bought the recorder. The version I had before relied on making a contact with each press and did not click. Some buttons gradually stopped working on the old one, making it impossible to use the HDR-1100S. Very pleased with this one and with the helpful instructions.
