Great book for chemistry of all levels, buy international to save moolah!
I bought the international version of this textbook, and after comparing it side-by-side with that of a regular US version, you have no reason to purchase the far more expensive version.. the side-by-side shows the content to be precisely the same.
As for the text itself, I thus far find Ms. Burdge to be a very cogent explainer of the finer details of Chemistry, most importantly I've noticed that she anticipates questions with well-defined examples.. I won't keep going, I can only say this book is a great piece of work.

SRAM PG950s Rock
SRAM seems to best Shimano on several counts, namely durability and quality while only being slightly heavier than Shimano or Campy parts. The PG950 is low-cost but has very nicely machined surfaces, my last 950 lasted about a year and a half of road riding through rain, snow, etc on just about every kind of surface condition a 23cm tire could handle (hardpack, mud etc).
Pair this with a SRAM chain and you have a solid drivetrain, even with the shimano shifters and derailleurs I still have.
