UK Premium Kitchen Sink Replacement Drain Waste Plug Basin Strainer Drainer 78mm

Cheap & Cheerful but does the job intended

Can't get just the plug at local plumbing shop without buying the whole drain fitting as well for ~£13 so delighted to find these on line for Excellent Value of £1.98. You have to watch the size - previous purchase from a different supplier and what turned out to be a different plug at 82 mm though looking much the same so never quite made the seal. This one turned up fast, fitted and does seal whilst doing say the washing up. In our sink it would not hold water overnight (which the original sturdier plugs would) but nevertheless very happy with purchase - bought 2 at time, so one stored away for when the neighbouring sink also needs a replacement plug.

MarXman Chalk Non-Permanent DIY Marking Pen Tool (Deep Hole Over 45mm)

Now keep both a regular and a Deep Hole Marxman as essential parts of my DIY toolkit.

If you have ever tried mounting a (eg) kitchen cabinet to a wall you will have run into some of the following while trying to mark the position for the drill holes to hold the cabinet up: Your marker pencil won't go through the hole. You need an assistant to hold the cabinet in place whilst you use both your hands to 1/ hold a nail through the hole and 2/ bang it with a hammer to make the mark. Even when you have done that - the cabinet slips half an inch between the 1st & 2nd holes or the 3rd & 4th etc. All of these issues are overcome with the Marxman (and even more so by the Deep Hole Marxman) for the type of issues described above. Hold the cabinet in place with shoulder and one hand & pshhht the Marxman with the other in each of the holes - Job done.
