Pace 2 Lightweight Aluminium Rollator / Shopping Trolley
    17 May, 2018
    Ok
I'm happy with this. It needed a lot of assembly and adjustment before it was adequate. That's difficult for many disabled people including me. I removed the curved bar as the seat is very narrow so the bar pushes you of the seat. Now, because I'm very light weight, I can sit on it and get someone to push me along - though it feels like the seat base is very stressed when I do that. With a tray in the bag under the seat it is a nice gimbal for carrying cups of tea without spilling. The brakes are lockable.

    A bad buy
The user's body weight is too far forward, so it stops when the front wheels get to a transition strip where the carpets are different. Not good unless you have enough strength to lift the front of the walker, you can't even tilt it towards you slightly over its rear wheels without lifting the front - at arm's length, I should point out. I cannot imagine it being helpful outdoors, as it fails to cope indoors. It is a good height for me, I am 5'5". The arm rest heights are adjustable anyway, so I guess it would be ok for an average height adult. It is reasonable build quality but not excellent: it feels sturdy enough for me at 65kg, but some parts rattle a bit and there are little protruding things like brake wires and wheel hubs to jab unwary ankles. The seat does not clip onto its holders, therefore the arm rests tend to move apart while the wheels move together. Also this means there is a pinch point if you hold onto the seat while you stand up from it. I am very sorry to have bought this walker and I do not recommend it. It might be suitable for someone stronger than me, I suppose.

Lensman series ending with Children of the Lens, starts with Triplanetary.
An entertaining space saga that I've re-read now and then since I was in my teens. "Children of the Lens" is book 6, the culmination of the series of books. "Masters of the Vortex" is a kind of postscript story, equally enjoyable, but not an essential part of the story. Turns out other authors thought E.E. Smith had a good idea, so Lensmen spinoffs abound, but I have not read them.
