A pity the later cameras in the Panasonic TZ series couldn't match the TZ10 for image quality and build
5 of 5 found this helpful I still have a TZ10. It really is pocket sized and it has a high quality, alloy case. The camera even stood up to a drop from waist height onto cobble stones in Madeira. I picked it up expecting it to be trashed - it worked and continues to work perfectly 4 years later - only a small dent on the underside edge of the metal case bears witness to the drop.
Photos are sharp straight from the camera across the breath of the whole image at all zoom lengths.
The only minor issue I have with the camera is that I find images tend to be a little over exposed on Intelligent Auto Mode and exposure adjustment is not possible under this mode either. I almost always use Aperture mode which allows me to increase saturation a little and also reduce exposure.
I bought a TZ60 to replace the TZ10. Whilst it looks superior on paper, the images that the 18MP TZ60 produces are woefully soft straight our of the camera and are also noticeably blurred at the edges when taken at 190mm to 290mm. The blurring was so extreme that my TZ60 was sent back twice for repair - its still far short of great. The plastic cased, Chinese manufactured TZ60 really is a big let down compared to the excellent Japanese manufactured TZ10.

The most accurate watch in the world
A present for my Dad - he always struggles to set digital watches.
This one does it all itself and keeps perfect time.

Useful marker pen
The very fine point makes them very useful for adding details and enhancing panel lines on model aircraft.
