Tragically, No Season Two
GI Joe Renegades was a thoroughly entertaining and well-written show. Although the art style used for the characters is simplified and (to my eye) unattractive, the animation is fluid and cinematic. Each episode is treated like a theatrical feature, having the atmosphere, camera angles, and pace you'd expect from an action flick.
In terms of content, everything a GI Joe fan could hope to see either features prominently or is at least touched upon. From a re-telling of the Arashikage saga to the origin of Zartan to Duke's strained relationship with his younger half-brother and future Joe, Falcon. Add to that, an episodic A-Team element, complete with a badass van that, incidentally, is essentially a member of the team, and the show satisfies in spades.
