Don't be tempted by the price

We bought this for my daughter's birthday after she had said that she would like to learn to play violin. As these enthusiasms can be fleeting, I didn't want to splash out a LOT of cash. Unfortunately, this budget instrument has killed her enthusiasm. We have so far failed to get any kind of recognisable sound out of it - I realise that this could be seen as operator error, but I used to play violin, so I don't think so. The roisin block was shattered when it arrived, so it has been difficult to properly prepare the bow. The bridge wasn't in place and the strings don't stay in place. The tuning pegs constantly slip, so every time we try and bow a note, it plays a glissando. Very disappointed.

NOT waterproof but stays in place

I bought this to take my bike to work. When I came back to it, the seat underneath the cover was wet. So I assume it's not actually water proof. However, because it is elasticated, it is helpful for holding a waterproof plastic bag in place underneath it.

Does the job, pleasant taste

I am a vegetarian and I do a lot of cycling, so I need a boost. I put this on my breakfast every morning and it enhances the flavour. I have also added it to get gravy to good effect and simply stirred it into soya milk to make a kind of yogurt substitute. Great product.
