Great speakers with decent sound for the price

I bought these speakers to install into a custom Arcade cabinet I've been building, and they sound fabulous. The sub offers plenty of boomy bass, and I really like the retro styling of the volume control as well. Care needs to be taken with the material covering the drivers which appears quite thin, but it seems a bit stronger than it perhaps looks in the photos.

Best of both worlds

This turntable is an extremely well conceived product from Sony. It sounds great as a standard turntable, and the ability to rip vinyl to hi-res DSD takes it to another level. The vinyl rips I've done sound great, and are very close to the experience of playing back directly. The ripping software is also really well designed and easy to use, which is nice to see as companion software for hi-fi gear is often a bit rubbish. I also really love the industrial design too, the all-black is super stylish, and the unit feels substantial. The built-in phono stage is also a nice touch which really simplifies setup and made it a lot easier to hide ugly cables away etc. A+ for me :)
