1898 Statistics Of Railways In The United States ICC With Map Pennsylvania RR
    10 Aug, 2017
    Excellent Piece of Railroad History
This antique book is the 1898 edition of an annual Federal report on the status of railroads in our country. Packed with statistics and an excellent fold-out railroad map, I consider this book to be an outstanding addition to any collection of original "railroadiana."
    2006 1st Ed DUFFY'S WAR FIGHTING IRISH 69TH WORLD WAR I Autographed S Harris

Great Book On A Great Regiment!
Stephen Harris's "Duffy's War" is a wonderfully researched and extremely well-written history of one of America's most illustrious fighting units in World War One, the 69th Regiment New York National Guard, re-numbered as the 165th U.S. Infantry during their WW1 service. The title refers to the 69th's legendary Catholic chaplain, Father Francis Duffy, whose words are a constant thread throughout the book. The "Fighting 69th," whose roots reach back to pre-Civil War days and the famed Irish Brigade of that earlier conflict, took part in some of the most brutal combat of the "Great War" as part of the 42nd "Rainbow" Division. Harris skillfully blends battle history with personal letters, anecdotes, and meticulously-researched facts to create a compelling story that is entertaining, educational, and impossible to put down. To have discovered a near-mint personally-autographed copy of this book was indeed a fortunate find!
