The big blue 80s classic underrated
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie is great. I would love to see it on blu ray but unfortunately it was never released in the states, only in other regions. So DVD it is. This was my first exposure to ocean deep/free diving; I saw this as a younger guy in the 80s I was probably 13 or so. It intrigued me then, and I recall the dream scene with the water filing the room. With the invention of the internet (I sound old but damnit I'm. It even 40 yet and so much has changed), I was able to locate the name of this film, as I had searched for it for quite a while. It was one of those late night hbo things. It's visually stimulating and ver thought provoking. I would give it 5 stars but that would be cliche to do, because implying perfection in anything is not my deal. However, I would recommend this to most anyone with a love for 80s films for one, and two, for visual films that provide underlying thought and meaning. Was this really about breaking records and deep diving, the end proves otherwise....so sit back, kill the lights, grab your significant other, and enjoy this 80s killer film!
