gobsmacked....
I am amazed at the quality and the detail of this O gauge loco for the price of £200.
The cab detail is exemplerary and the various pipes and rails on the loco boiler make it look real.
The brake rodding is magnificent. The wheel set is painted beautifuly
The lining on the loco is just super all over and the brass pipes and electrical boxes stand out wonderfuly.
The cab windows have brass rings around them and the rear cab windows have black bars on the outside.
Any downsides? 1 there is no coal in the tender but this is churlish as this can be rectified easily.
In fact the whole of this loco is just amazing for the price.
In my humble opinion this loco makes many O gauge locos look plain in comparison.
I recommend this Terrier loco as it will enhance any O gauge layout, whether a small room one or a large garden railway.
I highly recommend it.

Proffessional Tripod .... the neccessary tool for videographers
1 of 1 found this helpful I do a lot of heritage railway filming and I have gone through 4 tripods in 5 years as I tend to crash about in foliage to get to postions, hit rail lines accidentally and so on as well as using it as a foot rest when it in its case and I am travelling by train or bus o get it out of the way for room. So in the end I have decided to go professional. I find this item to be very robust... it is after all a tool... the camera being the instrument the mic being the ears of the outside world.
I climb up steep imbankments and walk miles so the weight is a thing to keep in mind when buying this high quality tool but you cant have stability and durability and have light weight... sooo it is a trade off. What I like about this tool is its ability to pan very very very slowly and not judder and pan fast without noise of the tripod being transferred through the structure and the camera to the mic body and hence to the mic itself, giving me a clean sound.
You have to get used to the "stiffness" when panning, but actually this is an illusion as once you start to pan you find the hydraulic effect takes over and you can move the panning handle with just one finger once you get used to it.
Finally I like the way you can adjust the camera level without altering the leg adjustment... the ball action sees to this.
The equipment set up I use is....
JVC HD7 with Rode outside pro shotgun mic.
