Boxster knocking noise on suspension rear
Had an annoying thunk, clunk over bumps on N/S/R. Absolutely no play in any suspension parts. Lots of Boxster owners mention the “tuning forks” as likely culprits. So today I fitted just one of these to the N/S/R. After removing and checking the bushing, I was starting to doubt it was faulty because there was no play at all in the bush, even clamped in the vice it had no free play, however the bushing moved very easily in the arm (in the direction its intended) compared to the new one.
So new one installed and road tested. Clunking noise gone! It must be impossible to simulate the forces required by hand to replicate the wear. I will also replace the other ones now (front and back)

Spot on
had this on tape cassette way back and now reliving it on CD. Love it. Proper tunes. classic, music how it should be and you can't beat this old school stuff for a bit of flashback
